PSCC trip to Germany celebrating a 75-year partnership - July 2023

Dear Katharina, Lars, Alina, Stephen, Sibylle, Andreas, and all of the Freundeskreis members who made our visit so special, 

 

You outdid yourselves with the wonderful events, food, and camaraderie you provided us with during our time in Ludwigshafen.  For me, as a first time participant in a trip to a sister city, it was all I’d hoped for and more.  From our welcome dinner at the Lauths, to our tour of Buga, to meeting the mayor, to the delicious food and great conversations at Landhaus, to the perfectly planned trip to Rüdesheim am Rhein (thank you Katharina and Lars!), to the Queen concert at Moxy Ludwigshafen, it was a dream trip for me and for my sister Judy.  What a wonderful way to celebrate the 75th anniversary of our Sister City relationship.  

 

I was especially moved by the heartfelt speeches at our Friday night dinner by Stephen Reinhard, Michael Werner and Taleen Hindoyan (and the excellent translations by Alina Reinhard), who brought into focus the long and rich history of the Sister City relationship between our two cities.  This trip has created memories for a lifetime.  

 

Soon we will be entertaining Katharina & Isabell in Pasadena, and I hope they have experiences as inspiring as our visit to our sister city, Ludwigshafen.

The food, and camaraderie during our time in Ludwigshafen, for me, as a first time participant in a trip to a sister city, it was all I’d hoped for and more.

It was a great honor for us to have you as a delegation from Pasadena for the 75th anniversary of the town twinning in Ludwigshafen. Many thanks for the great gifts on the occasion of the official reception of the city of Ludwigshafen. The exchange in a funny and social atmosphere in the evening together with father and daughter

Riffenburgh will also remain unforgotten. The subsequent boat trip on the Rhine with a visit to Rüdesheim and the Niederwald Denkmal will also be fondly remembered. It's just a shame that the time has flown by so quickly. We look forward to seeing you again in Pasadena.
